Valencia full-back Aly Cissokho is set to join Liverpool on a season-long loan deal. The France international has been linked with a move to England for some time and is desperate for a chance to test himself in the Premier League. Liverpool are keen to recruit a new left-back as cover for Jose Enrique and, with top target Guilherme Siqueira holding out for dream move to Real Madrid, Kop boss Brendan Rodgers stepped up his interest in Cissokho. Everton and Sunderland have also monitored the 25-year-old this summer, but talkSPORT understands the Reds have now agreed a deal with Valencia. Cissokho will join the Merseyside club on a season-long loan, subject to a successful medical, with a view to a permanent £4million move next summer.
