Liverpool target Alexis Sanchez is being chased by Italian champions Juventus.
The Barcelona forward has made 17 league appearances in Spain this season - but only nine of those have been starts.
The 24-year-old has scored just one La Liga goal, making him Barca's least prolific forward behind Lionel Messi, David Villa, Tello and Pedro, and could now be on his way out of the Nou Camp.
Juventus believe they will steal a march on their rivals in the chase for the forward's signature as they have his international teammate and friend Arturo Vidal currently in their squad.
When Vidal moved to Juve in 2011 it was Sanchez, then a burgeoning star at Udinese, who helped the midfielder settle in Italy and Juve boss Antonio Conte now hopes that bond can be re-established.
Brendan Rodgers' close ties to Barcelona, formed when the Liverpool boss spent time in Catalonia studying their training methods and infrastructure, made him a frontrunner for Sanchez but Juve will now hope to pip the Anfield club and seal the deal.
