Liverpool are closing in on the signature of Blackpool winger Thomas Ince, according to reports. The Daily Mail claims the Reds are finalising a £6 million deal for the England U21 international after a breakthrough in negotiations between the two parties. However, the paper claims it's a fee between those two prices which has finally brought the clubs closer together, and that Liverpool are close to bringing the player back to Merseyside. Ince began his professional career with the club back in 2010, joining the Reds' senior squad after two years at youth team level. The youngster failed to make a single Premier League appearance for Liverpool though, featuring in the League Cup defeat to Northampton Town before joining Notts County on loan. His impressive spell with the Magpies led to a permanent Blackpool move in the summer of 2011, and Ince has been one of the stand-out performers in the Npower Championship during his 18 months at Bloomfield Road. It's form that has led to Premier League admirers, with Swansea also enquiring about the player's availability, according to The Daily Mail.
