Dutch international Wesley Sneijder is expected to reject a move to Galatasaray, with a transfer to the Premier League a more attractive option for the playmaker.

The Turkish giants had a reported €10million (£8.2million) bid accepted by Inter Milan president Massimo Moratti last week but Sneijder did not agree to a move over the weekend despite Galatasaray director Bulent Tulun requesting a prompt response from the player.

According to a Turkish newspaper Sneijder can expect to earn €6million per year plus bonuses in Istanbul.

Moratti has urged Sneijder to make a decision by the end of the day.

"It would be professional if he would make his decision by the end of the day," he told Gazzetta dello Sport today.

The Inter playmaker has told his agent his preference remains a move to England following spells in the Netherlands, Spain and Italy. Sneijder is willing to wait for the right move with over two weeks before the transfer window closes.

Reports in the Dutch press claimed Liverpool had made an £8million bid but this has been denied by the Merseyside club.

Sneijder has reportedly attracted the interest of Arsenal, Manchester United, Manchester City, Chelsea and Tottenham but the Premier League clubs have so far declined to make a move for the unsettled star due to his wage demands.

Inter are willing to sell Sneijder, who has made just five appearances this season, after the former Real Madrid player refused to accept a pay cut.

Moratti confirmed last week that an offer from Galatasaray had been accepted by the 2010 Serie A champions.

"Galatasaray's offer satisfies us. Now it depends on the player," Moratti told Sky Sports.

"We would be happy if he decided to stay on our terms."

Quoted in the Gazzetta dello Sport, his agent Soren Lerby said: "Now the decision lies with him, anything is possible in football and Turkey is fast becoming a hot destination.

"If everything goes to plan the deal will go through."

But it now seems that Sneijder will reject a lucrative move to Turkey. He watched Inter beat Pescara 2-0 on Saturday in their Serie A clash at the San Siro.

The playmaker's indecision is beginning to frustrate his current club with Inter Milan president Massimo Moratti telling Gazzetta dello Sport today: "It would be professional if he would make his decision by the end of the day."

Sneijder joined Inter in August 2009 for a fee of €15million and went on to win the Champions League trophy, Serie A title and Coppa Italia in his first season under the guidance of Jose Mourinho. Sneijder joined the Italian side following a two-year spell at Real Madrid, where he won the La Liga title in 2008, after a €27million move from Dutch giants Ajax in 2007.
