Liverpool's move for Inter Milan midfielder Philippe Coutinho is close to completion after reports claimed Inter had accepted a fee. The 20-year-old Brazilian, who can operate in a more advanced role as a striker or as a creative midfielder, has been linked with a switch to Anfield but LIverpool's reported bid of £5m was turned down. It is now reported that the Reds have offered an improved £8m for the player and that should see the deal go through but it is unclear whether or not the arrival of the Brazilian international would end Brendan Rodgers' interest in Blackpool midfielder Tom Ince.
