Liverpool have held talks over the signing of Lille defender Lucas Digne, according to reports.
The Sunday People claims Reds boss Brendan Rodgers has identified the 19-year-old as a 'key signing' in the summer transfer window, although the Frenchman could cost in the region of £8million.
Liverpool are unlikely to have a transfer race all their own way however, with the paper reporting that both Manchester United and Manchester City are also keen on the U19 international.
Indeed, Sir Alex Ferguson was heavily linked with a move for the player back in February, with Digne admitting he was aware of the interest from Old Trafford.
Ferguson will not be at the Red Devils helm this summer though, and whether new boss David Moyes retains an interest in the player remains to be seen.
