Shakhtar Donetsk have nosed ahead of Fulham and Liverpool in the race to land FC Twente winger Nacer Chadli.
The Belgium international, who netted 12 league goals last term, is a wanted man across the continent having impressed during his three seasons at Twente.
Fulham and Liverpool have both had him watched, while talkSPORT revealed earlier this month that Eredivisie giants Ajax are also sniffing around the 23-year-old.
But Ukrainian champions Shakhtar Donetsk are preparing a bid for Chadli and have sounded out Twente over a deal.
The forward is expected to travel to Ukraine in the coming weeks for discussions.
Chadli, who has no plans to extend his current deal beyond the summer of 2014, is also being trailed by Juventus and Borussia Dortmund.
