Ricardo Quaresma - Free to a good home?

Reports in Spain indicate Liverpool have been offered the opportunity to snap up former Chelsea and Barcelona wide man Ricardo Quaresma.

At 29 Quaresma may not fit the profile laid out by FSG transfer strategy and having struggled for regular football at Turkish outfit Besiktas there may be some doubts over his form.

However there is no doubting the technical ability of the Portugal international star and he may add an extra dimension to the Anfield line up. His ability to beat defenders and quick movement certainly chimes with the Rodgers passing style.

The players agent Jorge Mendes is looking to create a buzz around a player who spent a difficult loan spell at Stamford Bridge in 2009. While not of the same calibre of Mendes other clients, such as Christiano Ronaldo, Quaresma could offer real value for money this January.
