Ajax starlet Christian Eriksen admits he is not sure if he will still be with the Amsterdam club next season amidst interest from Liverpool and Tottenham.
It is believed Eriksen has told Ajax he would turn down the offer of a contract extension this season and could be on the move this summer. The young playmaker revealed that his agent was still in talks with Ajax over his future, but insisted he has still not made a decision over who he will be playing for next season.
"I have not got a definite offer of an extension," he told Danish newspaper Sporten. "But my agent has had some talks with the club about it. How it's going to look after the summer, I do not know. I do not know if I'm playing at Ajax after the summer."
The Danish international has established himself as one of the most exciting young talents in Europe, and starred for his country at Euro 2012.
A host of leading clubs including Manchester United and Arsenal have been linked with a move for the talented youngster in the past, but it now appears to be a two-horse race between Liverpool and Tottenham for his signature this summer.
Reports earlier this month claimed both Spurs and Liverpool have been regularly scouting the 21-year-old ahead of a summer swoop, and with other potential suitors dropping out of the race to sign him the Premier League pair could go head to head for his services.
The Evening Standard claimed Tottenham may have the upper hand after landing Jan Vertonghen from Ajax in the summer, and remain hopeful that the Belgian international could persuade his former team-mate to follow him to White Hart Lane.
Liverpool recently added to their creative ranks, landing Philippe Coutinho in January while Spurs snapped up Lewis Holtby from Schalke, although Eriksen can also play in a more orthodox midfield position.
