Porto hitman Jackson Martinez has been tipped to replace the outgoing strikers at either Borussia Dortmund or Liverpool this summer.

Martinez has come to the attention of Europe's elite clubs this season after a strong campaign for the Portuguese outfit where he has scored 28 goals in 36 appearances so far.

Liverpool have been long-term admirers of the Colombian international, who is known for his dance-like celebrations on the pitch.

However, with Dortmund close to losing star Robert Lewandowski to Bayern Munich they are preparing to secure his replacement in the shape of Martinez.

Martinez is thought to be valued at €40m (£33.4m) by Porto, but Liverpool would be loathe to pay such an inflated fee since they were reported to have made an offer of around £8.5m last season.

However, rich Russian outfit Anzhi Makhachkala have already seen a £24m bid rejected ahead of this summer's transfer window opening and he Porto may dig their heels in over his prospective departure.
