Liverpool are closing on a £25million double deal for defenders Mamadou Sakho of Paris Saint-Germain and Tiago Ilori of Sporting Lisbon but face competition in their bid to sign Chelsea's Victor Moses.
Moses is keen on a move to Anfield but there are understood to be reservations from Chelsea about allowing the move to go through.
Stoke City, West Bromwich Albion, Norwich and Southampton have all registered an interest with Albion manager Clarke keen to bring in three new players before Monday's deadline.
Liverpool's strong bid for France international Sakho has surprised PSG and the prospects of the deal going through improved on Friday after rivals Roma seemed ready to pull out.
However, the chase for Moses is key with Liverpool eager to bring in a better attacking option.
