Ajax have confirmed they have rejected a bid from Atletico Madrid for Toby Alderweireld. The defender is on the radar of a string of Premier League clubs, with Liverpool the latest to be linked. talkSPORT last week revealed that Madrid had made a move for the 24-year-old and now Ajax have confirmed this. Director Marc Overmars said: "We have rejected the offer from Atletico Madrid for Toby Alderweireld. "We were contacted this weekend but it was not considered sufficient for our player."
