Galatasaray star Burak Yilmaz may be allowed to leave the Turkish champions this season, with Manchester United, Liverpool and Arsenal all monitoring the striker.

Yilmaz has netted 28 times in 34 games for club and country so far this season, and is gearing up to lead the line alongside Didier Drogba against Real Madrid tomorrow night.

But Galatasaray manager Fatih Terim has conceded that the former Trabzonspor forward could leave the European giants in the summer.

Terim told The Observer: "It's not going to be easy to keep him.

"He has targets but it will be his decision. Being wanted is a good thing, but we are fond of him and believe he will do great things for us in the future."

The 27-year-old is joint top scorer in this season's Champions League - alongside Real's Cristiano Ronaldo on eight goals - but could leave Galatasaray for as little as £10million.

Terim drew comparisons between Yilmaz and former Chelsea and AC Milan striker Andriy Shevchenko.

He added: "Andriy Shevchenko was the same.

"He is always thinking about scoring one more goal. Loving football is very important. I think he is going to get better and better."

And the explosive striker's taste for goals hasn't gone unnoticed in the English top-flight, with United, Arsenal and Liverpool all watching Yilmaz's movements closely.
