Liverpool have bid in excess of £20m for Atletico Madrid striker Diego Costa, according to Sky sources. The offer is believed to have triggered a release clause in Costa's contract. Costa, 24, scored 10 goals in La Liga last season, and Atletico are reportedly prepared to let him go as they have signed David Villa from Barcelona.
