Ajax midfielder Christian Eriksen is refusing to be drawn into the speculation linking him with a move to Serie A giants AC Milan, amid the interest from England as well as the Bundesliga.

Eriksen, whose Denmark side were humbled 4-0 by lowly Armenia in a World Cup qualifier last night, has been chased by several clubs in recent months thanks to his performances for Ajax.

Liverpool and Borussia Dortmund have been most active in their hunt for Eriksen, whilst the door is open for a possible switch to Spain.

Ajax coach Frank de Boer has already stated the player is ready to make the step up and, with Milan reportedly joining the fray, the summer could see a veritable free-for-all over the 21-year-old.

However, he remains focused on Denmark's faltering qualifying campaign, and when asked about the Milan link, said to Ekstra Bladet: "After today, I'm not thinking about it any more."

Denmark had seemingly no answer to the Armenian onslaught in Copenhagen, as the opener came with just a minute on the board, and the hosts crumbled thereafter.

Defeat means Denmark must win all their remaining four games to be in with a chance of qualification, but Eriksen has painted a gloomy picture for the national side's fate.

He added: "Nobody had imagined that things would go wrong [like this]. The World Cup is now very far away."
