A flag in honour of much-loved Hillsborough campaigner Anne Williams will be brought halfway across the world to take up residence in the Kop next season.

The banner, on display in Jakarta's Gelora Bung Karno stadium for LFC's 2-0 pre-season friendly win against an Indonesian XI , features the Formby mum's face with the words Iron Lady beneath and was made by supporters from the Big Reds Indonesian Official Supporters Club.

Sammy Irooth from the group, who made a Justice For The 96 mosaic before the match , said, "We have always had a lot of respect for Anne, as well as all the families and survivors, and just wanted to do something to show that we care.
"Everyone has had to wait too long for justice and it needs to happen soon."

The flag will be brought back to England by supporters on tour with the Reds.

Anne's daughter Sara said, "We were all really touched when we heard the banner had been made, every time I seen a photo of it I get emotional.

"It is such a lovely gesture, thanks so much to the people who made it."

Anne's brother Danny, who cared for his sister in her final months along with wife Sandra at their Birkdale home, said "We are a bit overcome with the legacy Anne has left behind.

"She was always an easy person to like and love. We all miss her so much."
Ian Barnes, trustee of Anne's For Justice charity and a founder member of the Hope For Hillsborough group said, "This just shows how respected Anne was around the world.

"The supporters in Indonesia have really shown their support for the 96 while Liverpool have been out there, and from what we hear, long before that as well.

"It would be a fitting tribute to see it at Anfield next season."
