Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers remains confident of adding some major signings to his squad before the start of the season. The Reds have already brought in four new faces this summer in the shape of Simon Mignolet, Kolo Toure, Luis Alberto, and Iago Aspas and Rodgers is keen to bring in some more "exciting" arrivals to add to his squad. Rodgers feels more quality is needed to be brought in if Liverpool are to challenge for a top four finish ahead of the new season. "Nothing is close but plenty of work is going on," Rodgers told the Liverpool Echo. "How near or far we are, I will find out in Melbourne. There is daily dialogue going on but I am confident that we will get the one or two players who will really excite and complete the jigsaw. "It was great to make the four signings so early on but we have still got some more work to do to strengthen the team."
