Everton are among a host of clubs ready to battle it out to land Granada full-back Guilherme Siqueira.
The 27-year-old has blossomed since moving to Granada from Udinese in 2011 and is now rated as one of the finest left-backs in La Liga.
Everton boss Roberto Martinez is still unsure if he will retain the services of Manchester United target Leighton Baines and has lined up Siqueira as a possible replacement for the England international.
The Toffees' local rivals Liverpool have also shown interest but it is unlikely they will make a move having snapped up Aly Cissokho on a season-long loan deal from Valencia last week.
Atletico Madrid, Benfica and Valencia are all keen on Siqueira, but Granada would prefer to sell him to Real Madrid as they have a strong relationship with Bernabeu president Florentino Perez.
The Brazilian defender's buyout clause is set at £21.5m, but it is thought that a fee of £13m would be enough to prise him away from Granada.
