They are understood to be in negotiations with Sporting Lisbon over a £6million deal for highly rated Portuguese defender Tiago Llori. Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers is a big admirer of the 20-year-old and injuries to Kolo Toure and Aly Cissokho during the week have forced him to step up the pursuit. In addition to Llori, Paris Saint-Germain defender Mamadou Sakho is on Liverpool's radar, but his £12m price tag is a problem.
