Liverpool will try to land Shakhtar Donetsk attacker Henrikh Mkhitaryan this summer for around £12m. Brendan Rodgers enjoyed a decent winter window with the acquisitions of Philippe Coutinho and Daniel Sturridge and he is eager to build on that this time around. He has earmarked Mkhitaryan and the indication is that Shakhtar are willing to sell. The Armenia international has played for his current club since 2010 but is keen on a new challenge. Indeed, only recently did the 24-year-old go public on his future. Mkhitaryan says he is ready for a switch to a major European league and Liverpool are plotting their move.
