Tottenham are the latest Premier League club to show an interest in Daniel Carr, one of the country's most sought-after young talents.

The 18-year-old striker plies his trade for Dulwich Hamlet in Ryman One South, seven leagues below the Premier League, where he has scored 24 goals in 25 games.

Carr caught the eye of Liverpool and travelled to Anfield for a week-long trial at Anfield earlier this month. On his return to London, Champions League holders Chelsea expressed an interest in signing him.

But now Andre Villas-Boas' Tottenham are having Carr watched to see if he could make the grade at White Hart Lane.

Dulwich Hamlet took on Hythe Town on Saturday with a Spurs scout in attendance to cast an eye over Carr's credentials.

Carr played for Reading's academy as a winger but has since been transformed into a striker by Dulwich manager Gavin Rose.

If Carr does seal a move to the Premier League he would follow in the foot-steps of Peter Crouch and Ian Wright, who both turned out for Dulwich before making the grade at the top level.

Dulwich are challenging for the Ryman One South title and are three points off of top spot.

But with the Spurs scout in attendance on Saturday their title challenge faltered as they went down to a 1-0 defeat to Hythe. Carr had few sights at goal and was booked for his efforts in the first half.

He started on the bench against Horsham on Tuesday night but came on in the second half and scored their fourth goal in a 4-1 win.
