Scouts watched the Holland Under 21 international last week, during the European Championships in Turkey.  The Dutch won two of their three games in the group stage - losing only to Spain - before exiting at the hands of Italy in the semi-finals.  Sunderland have also discussed Napoli's Morgan De Sanctis, 36. Mignolet, meanwhile, is edging towards a switch to Anfield after Liverpool managing director Ian Ayre delayed a trip to Brazil to try to push through an £8m deal.
