Liverpool are on the cusp of signing Simon Mignolet from Sunderland with an agreement on a £10million transfer fee getting close.
As Metro.co.uk reported earlier this week, the Reds ramped up their interest in Mignolet after failing to sign Asmir Begovic from Stoke and a transfer is now understood to be nearing completion.
According to reports in the north east, Liverpool have held extensive talks with Sunderland in the last 48 hours and now expect to agree terms on a £10m move.
It is thought that the Reds initially had an £8.5m offer snubbed, before agreeing to pay £1.5m more. The final details should be thrashed out within days.
