Liverpool are close to agreeing a £10 million deal to sign the Sunderland goalkeeper Simon Mignolet. A deal for Mignolet, a Belgium international, is close and could be announced early next week. Liverpool managing director Ian Ayre was due to travel to Brazil for a conference on Monday but has pulled out to attend to urgent club business. Liverpool are also increasingly hopeful of securing Armenian midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan for £20 million from Shakhtar Donetsk.
