Sunderland's Simon Mignolet is expected on Merseyside today to complete his £10m switch to Liverpool.
Mignolet is due to have a medical at Melwood and agree personal terms with the Reds.
It is believed the Belgian international goalkeeper has been offered a five-year deal to compete with Pepe Reina for the No. 1 spot.
Liverpool have agreed a fee of £9m with Sunderland, rising to £10m in add-ons, making him the club's most-expensive goalkeeper ever.
The club are hopeful the deal will be finalised later today and Mignolet, 24, will become Brendan Rodgers' fourth summer signing, taking the Reds boss' spending to £24m.
Rodgers isn't finished yet and still remains on Shakhtar Donetsk playmaker Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Sporting Lisbon defender Tiago Ilori and Porto winger Christian Atsu.
