Xabi Alonso has ruled out making a return to Liverpool this summer. The Spain international has one year left on his contract with Real Madrid and has been strongly linked with a move back to Anfield. With Jose Mourinho leaving the club, reports in Spain suggested that Alonso was considering his future and would relish the chance to head back to Merseyside. But the 31-year-old midfielder has put an end to that speculation by insisting he wants to fight for his place under new Bernabeu boss Carlo Ancelotti. Alonso said: "The Premier League?
