Daniel Sturridge scored in his fourth successive Premier League game on Monday.
It's a great run and he's been on fire all season. But without wanting to blow my own trumpet, Daniel now only has another five games to go to equal my record from the start of the 1987-88 season!
I scored in my first nine league games of that wonderful campaign.
I'd be delighted to see him beat that record - actually let's make that equal it! And what people often forget is that I also scored in the last match of the 1986-87 season at Chelsea.
So if Daniel does go on to score in the next five league games as well, I'm still claiming the record because I managed 10 in a row!
Southampton at home is one of those fixtures that everyone expects you to automatically take three points from.
But in the modern game it's never as straightforward as that.
The champions Man United found it tough enough against a 10-man Crystal Palace at the weekend. And we will certainly have to play better and show more cutting edge than we did on Monday.
Mauricio Pochettino has done a good job with the Saints and taken them up to another level. They'll come and have a go at Anfield, but we can't afford to slip up.
The Premier League is so tight now that we simply have to take points from the teams we're expected to, in order to ease the pressure when we face the so-called big sides.
Liverpool's two debutants both enjoyed influential evenings in different ways on Monday. I thought Victor Moses looked bright and took his goal really well, but he also showed that he is lacking a bit of match fitness at the moment as he faded in the second half.
But I was very impressed by Mamadou Sakho.
I know he got sucked in for a Swansea goal, but he looked composed, had a real presence and defended very well.
And just for a change we looked okay in the air at corners!
What their arrival does is create even more competition for places.
