Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers is reported to be following Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Javier Pastore with renewed zeal and may make a move for him when the transfer window reopens in January. News of the Reds' interest in the Argentine has come following reports of the player growing disillusioned with life at Parc des Princes.
Pastore's agent Marcelo Simonian has revealed that his client has been unhappy at PSG this season and hinted of him being open to a possibility of a move. He said: "In football there are always ups and downs. He has been happy there, but now is not the time for nostalgia. We will see what happens in the next few months."
The Reds are believed to be monitoring the progress of the 24 year old for quite some time now. According to reports in Gazzetta Dello Sport, Rodgers is confident of landing Pastore in January despite interest in the player from the likes of AC Milan and Napoli.
It is reported that PSG may consider doing business if Liverpool agree to pay around £17m for the Argentine.
