Liverpool are being linked with a January swoop for Paris Saint-Germain's Argentinian playmaker Javier Pastore.
Reds boss Brendan Rodgers has seemingly set his sights on the 24-year-old, who has become frustrated with life with the Ligue 1 champions since joining in 2011 from Italian outfit Palermo.
Pastore was the first big-name arrival at the Parc de Princes following the Qatari takeover, but he has since struggled for form as countless star names have been drafted into the squad since, under Carlo Ancelotti last season and then new coach Laurent Blanc.
Therefore it looks like Pastore will try and secure a move away with his agent, Marcelo Simonian, confirming that he would consider a winter exit.
He said: "In football there are always ups and downs. "He has been happy there, but now is not the time for nostalgia. We will see what happens in the next few months."
Rodgers would no doubt be interested in taking Pastore to Anfield and a £17million bid should be enough for Paris Saint-Germain to allow the player to depart.
