Arsenal and Liverpool target Arda Turan has signed a new contract at Atletico Madrid.
Liverpool have a long-standing interest in the attacker, while Arsenal are also said to be keen.
Yet another Premier League side, Manchester United, were linked with Turan in the summer transfer window but he stayed put.
And now the Turkey international has signed a new deal, taking him through to 2017.
He said: "I am delighted to have signed a contract extension with Atletico Madrid. I feel like I'm part of a family here."
Turan's agent Ahmet Bulut also confirmed interest from Arsenal and Liverpool and he also claims a move to England could happen in the future.
"Arsenal and Liverpool? A destination in the Premier League would be to the liking of the player and I can confirm there are clubs interested, like the two mentioned," Bulut said.
Sources in Turkey also suggest this contract extension, which has bumped Turan's release clause up to past £30m, is a ploy to get a bigger deal when the Premier League clubs come calling again.
