Reports from Italy claim that Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is keeping tabs of former Barcelona youth team prospect Keita Balde Diao.
The 18-year-old fell foul of the powers that be at Barcelona and was allowed to move on to Lazio in Italy for a knockdown fee of around £250,000 in 2011, after it was reported a youth-team prank was the final straw for the Catalans.
The Reds had the Spanish-born player, who is of Senegalese origin, watched in Lazio's 1-0 victory over Legia Warsaw in the Europa League last Thursday and are expected to continue to keep tabs on the youngster who is under contract in Italy until 2017.
