Bids are expected imminently from Liverpool and Roma for Ajax playmaker Christian Eriksen, according to Danish daily Ekstra Bladet. Eriksen has been linked with a move away from the Amsterdam ArenA for some time, with just one year left on the Denmark international's contract. No official offers have yet arrived for Eriksen, despite much talk. But that situation is thought set to change. Roma are expected to turn their attention to Eriksen after signing Kevin Strootman from PSV Eindhoven, while Liverpool are tipped to finally submit a bid for the player. Indeed, Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers recently indicated that the remainder of his transfer activity would be concentrated on those able to command a starting spot in his side. Eriksen will not pressure Ajax for a departure though if he is not happy with the destinations on offer. The Denmark star has vowed to sign a new deal if he does not move, insisting he will not quit Ajax on a free transfer next summer.
