Liverpool have received a boost in their pursuit of Christian Eriksen after the Ajax playmaker turned down an offer from Bayer Leverkusen.
The Denmark international is thought to be Brendan Rodgers' main transfer target now.
Eriksen, 21, has less than a year left on his contract at the Eredivisie champions and is expected to leave this summer.
Leverkusen last week submitted a proposal to the midfielder but he rejected it, despite the fact it bettered his current salary at the Amsterdam club.
And his agent Martin Schoots admits money will not be Eriksen's priority when deciding his next destination.
"Christian will only leave Ajax if he thinks he is going for sporting reasons," he is quoted as saying on Voetbal International.
"That's his main criteria. And Christian means it when says he won't just leave Ajax for any reason."
