Liverpool and Tottenham are understood to be in negotiations with Ajax star Christian Eriksen, reports Sky Sports.
The Danish midfielder has been linked with a big-money move this summer to some of Europe's top clubs including Borussia Dortmund and AC Milan, but both clubs appear to have ended their interest following deals to sign Henrik Mhktaryan and Keisuke Honda respectively.
The £15million-rated midfielder has been linked with a transfer this summer, and his agent claims he is still in negotiations regarding his future. "Yes, we are still in contact with some clubs - and this will always be the case for players like Christian. In the current situation, it is difficult to say if this contact will lead to a move, so I will not speculate now," Martin Schoots told sporten.dk.
Eriksen is looking for a new long-term contract at the club otherwise he will consider his future at the club. "He wants Ajax to get money for him and therefore he will extend his contract, in case he does not succeed in finding a new club," said Schoots.
Liverpool and Tottenham are looking for more attack-minded additions as they prepare for a long and arduous battle for the Top 4 next season, against the likes of Arsenal and Chelsea who have already significantly improved their squad ahead of the new season.
