AUTHOR: MELISSA REDDY Victor Moses has warned Nigeria not to be complacent when they tackle Ethiopia in their two-legged 2014 World Cup qualifier play-off. The Super Eagles will face off against the Walya Antelopes in Addis Ababa next month, with the last time they played still fresh in the mind of the winger, who's on loan at Liverpool. Nigeria ground out a 2-0 win over Ethiopia en-route to being crowed 2013 African Nations Cup champions, with Moses twice converting from the penalty spot. "They are a great side who are very difficult to beat and we must have a lot of respect for them," the 22-year-old tells KICK OFF. "I remember we played them at the Nations Cup in January and they gave us a tough game. We were lucky that they fouled me twice inside the box late on so we managed to get two penalties and I stuck them for the win." Moses insists Ethiopia's progression through to the play-offs ahead of the more fancied Bafana Bafana is no fluke. "They are a very well organised side who are physical, but also quick and are a threat upfront. They were the best in their group, even though most people expected South Africa to go through. Ethiopia are going to be quite a big test for us and we must be up to it." Another challenge for Moses is building on his brilliant debut for the Reds. The winger made his Liverpool bow in a 2-2 draw with Swansea on Monday night and got his name on the scoresheet during a dynamic display. "I wasn't surprised by how well I played because I missed turning out in the Premier League and I just wanted to get onto the pitch and do my thing," he adds. "Obviously to get the goal was great; I think we did very well in the first half and it's unfortunate that we didn't win, but we carried on with our good start. "I'm really enjoying my football at the moment and I want it to continue. We've got another tricky game on Saturday against Southampton, so I'm focused on doing my best again for that," he says.
