Transfer speculation suggests the Reds are leading the chase to sign Montoya and are preparing a bid for the talented full-back. German press Bild reported that the Reds are going to make a pre-contract for the player who will be a free agent at the end of the season. Montoya's agent has also confirmed that Liverpool are "ahead of the pack" to land the Spaniard. The Reds are also said to be monitoring Saint-Etienne starlet Kurt Zouma. Zouma is considered one of the future stars of French football and he's already secured silverware on the international stage having helped France claim the Under-20 World Cup in Turkey earlier this year. Juventus are also said to be interested in the youngster but Liverpool are said to be favourites to make an initial bid for the player contracted until 2017.
