Reds fans are set to enjoy some never-before-seen pieces of LFC history with the launch of the club's new interactive museum.

The Liverpool FC Story launches at Wednesday, October 23 at Anfield and will provide a unique insight into the inner workings of the club with some artefacts going right the way back to 1890, when Everton played at Anfield and the Reds were still two years away from being formed.

Among the amazing pieces of memorabilia on show will be Bill Shankly's passport, his private farewell dinner menu, Jamie Carragher's shirt from his final game at QPR and a rattle from the 1950 FA Cup final.

Reds legend Phil Thompson is the official voice of the interactive headsets that will be worn by visitors to guided them around.

The former LFC and England captain, who became the first Scouser to lift the European Cup in 1981 said, "Liverpool FC has a wealth of history unlike any other Club. It's only right that some of the most important pieces from the past as well as from the modern day are displayed at the home of the Reds, and it's fantastic that the new museum is bigger and better than ever before.

"I'm honoured to be the official guide of the LFC Story, and I hope the LFC family from across the world will enjoy getting up close to the Club like never before."
