Liverpool are considering a shock move for AC Milan star Stephan El Shaarawy, it has been reported. The 20-year-old is regularly linked with transfers away from the San Siro despite insisting he is happy at the club. He is already a regular for the Italian national team and has established himself as a key player at Milan, where he scored 16 goals in 37 Serie A outings last term. But rumours of a departure persist - with Manchester City also understood to be monitoring his situation closely. Borussia Dortmund, meanwhile, are known admirers and are said to be ready to make their move for the forward. Now it has been reported in Germany that the Bundesliga side think their stiffest competition in the race to land El Shaarawy will come from Anfield. Brendan Rodgers is currently well stocked in attack but with summer signings Luis Alberto and Iago Aspas still yet to score - and Victor Moses only on loan for the season - the manager might want another striker.
