Liverpool are set to ramp up their summer spending with a £26million triple swoop for Victor Moses, Mamadou Sakho and Tiago Ilori.

Reds boss Brendan Rodgers has been chasing the trio intensively in the last three weeks, and now expects to sign all three before the transfer window slams shut on Monday.

Chelsea winger Moses will join a season-long loan deal with a £1million fee changing hands, with the player set to complete a medical in the coming hours.

Elsewhere, Liverpool have struck a £13million deal with PSG to sign France international defender Sakho, despite long-running interest from Arsenal.

He is already on Merseyside and is believed to have accepted a four-year-deal at Anfield, and will be followed by Sporting Lisbon youngster Ilori.

A £12million agreement for his signing has been struck, and despite suggestions he may return to Sporting on-loan, he will be staying put.

The trio will add significant depth to Rodgers' squad, with the addition of defenders Sakho and Ilori especially key given the current defensive crisis, following injuries to the likes of Martin Skrtel, Kolo Toure and Sebastian Coates.
