Liverpool are tracking Spain midfielder Koke and could make a £17m bid for him in January, according to reports. Reds boss Brendan Rodgers is short of central midfield options and is keen to strengthen that part of his squad when the transfer window re-opens. Rodgers has now set his sights on Atletico Madrid youngster Koke, who has been one of the key reasons behind the capital club's flawless start to the La Liga season. The 21-year-old, who has been capped three times, has scored two goals and set up six more in eight league games this term. Koke has flourished under the tutelage of manager Diego Simeone, who is desperate to hold on to the midfielder and will attempt to resist any offers from the Anfield side.
