Liverpool have made the first move in an expected summer battle to sign Loic Remy from QPR, according to the Sunday People.
The France striker joined Rangers from Marseille in January on the understanding that it would put him in the shop window.
His departure from Loftus Road is almost certain and it is claimed Liverpool have made it clear they will be tabling a bid.
Arsenal are said to be interested along with Newcastle, who missed out on Remy when he joined QPR after holding talks with both clubs. Tottenham have also been linked with him.
