Swansea defender Ashley Williams would prefer to join Liverpool over Arsenal should he leave the Liberty Stadium, reports have claimed.
Williams will be in demand this summer as both Liverpool and Arsenal look to draft in a new central defender and the Swans will face a battle to keep hold of the player.
Reports in the press claim that a £9million offer from the Gunners is already on the table ready for when the transfer window opens again, but Liverpool are also in the running.
Former Swansea boss Brendan Rodgers is keen to take him to Anfield and it has been claimed that Williams would prefer to head to Merseyside and join the club he supported as a boy.
The 28-year-old has insisted he is happy at Swansea and will not push for a move but he will no doubt be tempted if bids come in from the Premier League big guns.
