Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is thought to be lining up a summer move for Manchester City defender Micah Richards.
Rodgers is setting his sights on the City star as he looks to bolster his side's defensive options for next season with veteran Jamie Carragher heading for retirement at the end of the season.
Richards is thought to be the Reds manager's number one target but he is likely to face competition for his signature with Arsenal, Paris Saint-Germain, Real Madrid and Juventus also known to be keen on the England international.
Prizing the 24-year-old out of the Etihad Stadium won't be easy though, as despite enduring an injury-ravaged campaign, the player is still seen as a key member of Roberto Mancini's squad.
