Arsenal have made their first move to lure striker Loic Remy away from doomed Queens Park Rangers, writes the Sunday People.
The Gunners' boss Arsene Wenger sent his chief scout Steve Rowley to Loftus Road to run the rule over the talented 26-year-old Frenchman when Rangers played Stoke City last Saturday.
Rowley also checked on QPR's Julio Cesar and Stoke's Asmir Begovic as Arsenal continue their search for a goalkeeper.
Remy has a clause in his contract that allows him to leave Loftus Road at the end of the season for £8million - the amount Rangers paid Marseille for him in January.
Liverpool are also known to be keen on Remy as are Newcastle, even though Remy snubbed them to join QPR.
Meanwhile, as revealed by the Sunday People last week, Arsenal are also tracking Schalke midfielder Julian Draxier, having lost out to Bayern Munich for Dortmund's exciting youngster Mario Gotze.
