Liverpool have a battle on their hands if they are to secure the services of Christian Eriksen in the summer. The midfielder has seen his value soar this season following a series of coruscating performances for Ajax this season. Eriksen has piqued the interest of the Premier League's leading lights, and has also dropped a hint that he wants to move to England. But it appears that the net for him has widened. Danish publication Sporten.dk has it that Eriksen could command a transfer fee of £17m. They also note that Newcastle are set to step up their interest as they look to add more cutting edge to their midfield. Eriksen's contract with Ajax runs up next summer.
