
Liverpool players returned to the club's Melwood training ground today after their summer break.
Defender Kolo Toure, the Reds' first signing of the summer, was also the first to arrive for pre-season training and is due to sign his contract with the Anfield club later today.
Joining the club on a free transfer from Manchester City, the Ivory Coast defender turned up wearing a smart, dark suit.
Fellow new boys Iago Aspas and Luis Alberto also reported for club duty this morning.
The Spanish pair arrived together with Brazilian playmaker Phillipe Coutinho, a huge hit with Reds' fans since his January arrival from Inter Milan, ready for training which was due to begin at 10am.
The Liverpool squad and coaching staff had a team meeting ahead of fitness tests scheduled to take place later on today.
