Brendan Rodgers says he plans to add another attacking player and a defender to his Liverpool squad before the transfer window shuts.
Rodgers has completed the majority of his transfer business early this time around.
The Reds boss has already brought four new players to Anfield this summer, Kolo Toure, Simon Mignolet, Iago Aspas and Luis Alberto all reporting for the first day of pre-season training on Tuesday.
While the Northern Irish coach is delighted with his new recruits he claims he still needs to put the finishing touches to his squad.
Liverpool have been heavily linked with moves for Shakhtar Donetsk midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Swansea defender Ashley Williams, both of whom would fit the bill for Rodgers.
"Certainly another attacking player will really benefit us," Rodgers told the Liverpool website, "and probably another defender.
"Obviously the plan was to get our signings in as soon as we possibly could - and we still hope to make a few more. "We'll see how it develops over the course of the next few months."
