Manuel Pellegrini will fend off interest in Micah Richards by telling the defender he is part of his plans at Manchester City. Richards has been linked with a departure from City this summer after struggling to break into Roberto Mancini's side in recent seasons - although injuries have also played their part. But new manager Pellegrini is set to inform the versatile stopper that he wants to keep him in his Citizens squad - despite interest from the Premier League and abroad. Chelsea are tipped to make a move for the 25-year-old - who can play at centre-back and right-back - while Liverpool have also been credited with an interest. Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is a long-term admirer of Richards, who joined City at the age of 14 from Oldham Athletic. AC Milan, Inter and Bayern Munich are also tracking the England international, who is continuing talks with City over a new contract.
