Brendan Rodgers believes he possesses a strike force which is the envy of the Premier League after seeing Luis Suarez and Daniel Sturridge return Liverpool to the top.
Rodgers was not entirely convinced by his side's performance in their 3-1 win over Crystal Palace, but he was purring about his attacking duo.
Suarez scored and was man of the match, while Sturridge claimed his eighth of the season. Steven Gerrard also scored a penalty - his 99th league goal for Liverpool - before Dwight Gayle salvaged some pride in the second half.
"The two upfront were exceptional. Their combination play was outstanding and they are right up there with the best in this league," said Rodgers.
"You saw the telepathic nature they have built up straight away.
"With those two up front anything is possible. All I have asked them is that they work very hard for the team and then that natural ability comes out. They are both movers, they are not static strikers.
"Those two occupy a back four on their own. You see how they work together. It was a really good performance by those two. They gave you a real thrust with that pace. They were outstanding."
Liverpool did not build on a convincing half-time lead, reflecting a recurring trend of performing more impressively in the first half of their games.
Rodgers admitted it is an area of concern, saying there is still room for further improvement.
"The second half was nowhere near what we wanted it to be but without playing well we won the game," he said.
"I'm not the type of coach that just wants to win. I worry about how the team plays and how we control the game.
"In that final third, we are outstanding with the movement and the combination play. But we have got a lot of work to do behind that.
"That's the beauty of the team."
